Becoming a GAL/CASA volunteer requires a commitment on your part to serve children. In order to become a volunteer with the Hamilton County GAL/CASA Program, you must:
Complete a 32-hour training course consisting of evenings and weekends.
Submit to a criminal records check.
Complete 12 hours of continuing eduation each year.
Have the time available to make contact with families and children, and to review documentation in order to interview and investigate a case assigned to you.
Be able to attend court hearings if required during your case.
Be able to travel to homes and facilities.
See your case through from start to finish.
The children deserve committed volunteers!

Winter 2018 Training: February 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, and March 5, 6, 7 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM each night
Spring 2018 Training: April 30, May 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM each night
Fall 2018 Training: October 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM each night
Please contact our office a couple weeks before the training session you plan to attend, so that we can order manuals and other training materials for you. We look forward to meeting you!
